A new painting! 20″x20″ acrylic and ink. And, when I say ink I mean Sharpie marker. It is part of the series I am doing for the 2017 Spring St. Paul Art Crawl this year.
Working in my BIG journal, I added more layers to the above pages. Still works in progress, but I like where these are going. More too come as I continue work on them. I am primarily using acrylic paint and ink and adding in wash tape and collage as I go.
Welcome 2017! I started this year by joining Teresa Robinson at rightbrainplanner.com for an “Art Party” on New Year’s Eve. I used a journal I had not filled up and created my planner for 2017. Planner is probably too generic, this is more of a creative dreams vision book, and I plan on working in […]

I am joining Dawn DeVries Sokol in her NaNoJouMo (National Nonstop Journaling Month).

We will have our travel journals, coloring books, and PAPER PACKS (pictured) for inspiration! The packets are filled with scraps of ephemera, tickets, scrapbook paper, […]
I finished the painting! First big painting I have done in a while, and I am really happy with her. There is something mesmerizing about starting something without a plan and she was definitely one of those happy accidents. When I sat down to begin painting that day, I had no plan on subject or […]
I’ve got my EYE on you. Ha! I have been doing studies in acrylic on painting eyes. There a lot of different approaches to this available on You Tube and other places, but I have really enjoyed the exploration. This study is about 3 inches wide on paper in acrylic. I am also working on […]
It has been a while. I mean—a long long time! Months since I have put paint on canvas, and really just PAINTED. Naturally, a coffee cup seems to be my go to image, but that is okay by me. I always have one handy, and whether it is coffee or tea or even diet Coke, […]
